Unique: With LogoForest® brandnames make a splash!
or
Bäume für Menschen - Trees for the World® presents its unique idea - new on the world market.

The international environmental organisation Bäume für Menschen - Trees for the World has registered LogoForest as a patent linking the effective reafforestation of extensive areas and marketing.

Weilheim i. OB/Germany - Huge devastated areas reafforestated with company logos which can be seen from space - this unique method of extensive reafforestation was registered as a patent by the international environmental project Bäume für Menschen - Trees for the World. The aim: Large deforested areas will be reafforested in such a way that every area designated for a company logo or company symbol will be left free of trees. In this way, so-called logo forests can be created on all five continents by global firms. Mixed woodland consisting of a large number of species is planned - no monocultures.

The idea of Gottfried Brenner, initiator of the organisation, and his team is unique. Large reafforestation areas will be created so that company logos can be seen from the air and from space. Together with the help of international advertising agencies, Bäume für Menschen - Trees for the World would like to gain the support of international companies from all five continents. Huge product logos could thus grow in areas threatened with becoming wasteland and these symbols would then be seen from great distances, e.g. from a mountain, from an aeroplane or from space.

International companies would then have the opportunity of partcipating in not only a long-term effective environmental project, but also in a unique marketing campaign. In future the organisation would also like to work in cooperation with international companies who will realise the logo forests under licence.

This new technique means that large devastated areas are reafforested, leaving areas which correspond to the logos or company symbols free. These free areas will then be connected with the necessary fire breaks and working tracks. Young trees will be planted on the pieces of land - the smallest of which will be around 10 square kilometres - so that, after development and thinning out, a dense stock of trees remains.

A logo forest will be made up of 80% local trees which will grow to form a natural forest. Half of these trees can be used sustainably by the local population and according to local agricultural customs. Fruit trees will be planted in the remaining 20%, whereby wild as well as grafted plants will be used.

For the local population of the areas concerned, the logo forest means the return of those things which have been lost due to widespread deforestation: Firewood, fruit, shade, animal fodder, and a natural forest offering a home to rare animals and plants. A project of this kind creates long-term employment for the local population and, at the same time, redresses the natural balance in the area.

An idea of what the project could look like is already available on the internet: www.TreesForTheWorld.org and www.LogoForest.com. Graphic design students in Munich have built a scale model of such a plantation. 1,500 model trees have been arranged so that the logo of an internationally known British firm can be recognised.
